Custom Aluminum Brackets Made to Drawings
HKAA reviews custom CNC machined aluminum bracket requirements for mounting and assembly applications. The illustrated L-shaped design shows two perpendicular mounting faces and a mounting-hole pattern. It is a design illustration rather than a documented customer project; your drawing defines the final geometry and requirements.
Mounting Faces and Hole Patterns
Bracket drawings should identify the faces that locate the part, the relationship between those faces and the hole pattern, and the datums used for measurement. Specify overall dimensions, wall thickness, corner radii, hole diameters and any threaded features. Include mating-component clearances where they affect assembly.
Internal corners and mounting features are reviewed for tool access and suitable workholding. Additional slots, pockets or angled features can be evaluated with the drawing. The image does not define a load rating, a guaranteed tolerance or a fixed material grade.
Material, Finish and Inspection
Specify the aluminum alloy and temper on the drawing. Material selection, surface finishing and inspection requirements are reviewed during quotation. Identify cosmetic faces, masking areas and dimensions that apply after finishing. Critical dimensions, datums and any first-article documentation must follow the agreed drawing revision.
