Custom CNC Aluminum Parts for Housing Covers

Material and finishing review

Specify the aluminum grade and temper in your drawing package. For designs using 6061 or 6061-T6, see our 6061 aluminum machining guide. Anodizing, bead blasting or an as-machined finish can be reviewed according to appearance, fit and assembly requirements. Finish thickness and masking must be considered where locating faces or fastener interfaces are critical.

Drawing-based manufacturing

Our aluminum CNC milling services support the pockets, mounting features and machined faces specified for a cover. Cutter access, wall thickness and workholding are reviewed before the manufacturing route is selected. Inspection requirements should identify the datums and dimensions that control fit with the mating housing.

Identify the mating housing, critical hole positions, contact surfaces and any inspection documents.
