Aluminum Finned Housing CNC Machining

Product Gallery: Features to Review

The product image shows radial fins, a central raised feature and mounting holes. For a similar housing, identify the surfaces that require machining, fin clearance, mounting-hole locations and the dimensions important to assembly. The drawing review establishes the manufacturing route and inspection requirements.

Review aluminum CNC milling services, compare custom mounting housings, or read our 6061 aluminum machining guide. Confirm the alloy, temper and finish from the drawing for each order.

This aluminum finned housing illustrates a component with cooling fins, a central feature and mounting holes. HKAA supports drawing-based CNC machining of aluminum housing features and mating surfaces. The machining route, alloy and finish should be confirmed from the part drawing.

Features to Review

  • Mounting-hole positions and threaded features
  • Flatness and dimensions of mating surfaces
  • Central bore and other critical interfaces
  • Fin geometry, deburring and surface finish

Manufacturing and Inspection

Provide 2D drawings or 3D files with required alloy, dimensions, tolerances and quantities. We can review which features need CNC milling, drilling or finishing and agree an inspection plan before production.

Finned Housing Drawing Checklist

Define fin thickness, spacing and depth, mounting-hole locations, the central interface and mating-face flatness. Identify the surfaces that require machining and the features that must remain accessible for deburring and inspection. The manufacturing route is reviewed from the drawing rather than inferred from the photograph.

Finish and Inspection Requirements

State the alloy and temper, surface treatment, masking areas and whether critical dimensions apply before or after finishing. Include the inspection requirements for the central feature and mounting surfaces. Thermal performance requirements belong in the part design specification and are reviewed separately from dimensional machining requirements.
